Manage my TrustShare

Manage your TrustShare makes it easy for you to personalize your TrustShare pages before publishing it, taking it live, and sharing it with your customers or prospects.
Managing your TrustShare has the following steps to configure:

  • Manage my TrustShare:
    • TrustShare Access – Private/Transparent mode
    • Contact Email – an email address where you would like to receive access requests and general updates for your TrustShare
    • Access Links – Preview/Live URL
    • Add NDA – upload a generic copy of your NDA for prospects and customers to attest to upon entering TrustShare
  • Branding: This is how you can personalize your security portal
    • Customize Site Header
    • Logo
    • Publish changes made
  • Home: Here you can update the language used in your portal
    • Customize Sections Displayed on TrustShare live
    • Publish changes made
  • Subprocessors: Here you can see all of your main sub processors.
    • Customize Subprocessors shown on TrustShare live
  • Certifications: Here you can select the certification you have achieved or currently pursuing, and displaying it with the world

TrustShare Access
Determine if you would like to make your TrustShare viewable in “Private” or “Transparent” mode.

  • Private mode – Your TrustShare live will be completely gated and “Request Access” only. Only the home page welcome message will be displayed plus any certifications and documents that have been marked as ‘public’ or ‘private’ (request access).
  • Transparent mode – Your TrustShare live will be transparent in showing information related to your policies, controls, certifications, subprocessors, and documents. You can manage individual access to each of these items utilizing the customization tools in TrustShare admin.

Contact Email
The Contact Email is the email address or alias that will be notified if any customer or prospect requests access from your TrustShare website. On your manage my TrustShare tab, you’ll be able to add a contact email address. This is very important to add, because the user associated with that address is the user responsible for receiving notification a new TrustShare user requests access or accepts access. Without a contact email, you will not be able to keep track of the TrustShare traffic.

Access Links (Preview + Live URL)
Before going live with your TrustShare site you can see what it will look like using the Preview URL on the Manage My TrustShare page. This is a staging link and unless you publish your TrustShare you will not be able to invite external users.

To expedite the NDA process, you can upload a generic copy of your Company NDA for users to attest to upon accessing your TrustShare!

Customize sections of your TrustShare Home page and add your trust and security leaders to build trust and credibility with your customers.

Once you have accessed your TrustShare, select the “Home” tab and start updating every section. Each section can be edited completely, that includes Title, Tagline, Description, Body Copy and Header.

You want to make sure you update this page before you publicize your TrustShare. This is where you can update the language to match your company’s needs and make sure you integrate any type of information you want your customer to read.

If you don’t want to show some of these sections, you also have  the ability to hide it from your home page by turning on that view feature that you can find at the top right corner of each section.

Your subprocessors will be identified in TrustOps and reflected in the “Subprocessors” page in TrustShare. You have the ability to hide or showcase individual subprocessors on your TrustShare live! Transparency about subprocessors is important for several reasons:

  • It allows customers and users to understand how their data is being processed and by whom.
  • It allows customers to make informed decisions about whether or not to use a service, and to identify any potential privacy or security risks.
  • In some cases, such as with data protection regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), companies are legally required to disclose the subprocessors they use.
  • It also helps to build trust between companies and their customers, as it demonstrates that the company is taking steps to protect the data of its customers.

If have received any audit attestations, reports, or certifications or are currently in the process of completing an audit you can display this on your Certifications page and attach your audit report or relevant documentation.
